I'm currently supporting a business with an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager, based in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with comprehensive expertise in payroll management and a deep understanding of payroll systems and processes.The Payroll Manager's duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of payroll for all group companies; ensuring the production of pay and payment through the bank is timely.
  • Assist and support Payroll Officers in the calculating of hours worked and the preparation of information for payroll
  • Develop systems and processes to ensure that all payroll transactions are accurate, supported and received timely.
  • Provide timely reports and ensure that all key liabilities are met in line with prescribed timelines.
  • Ensure a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders including HR and the rest of the Finance team.
  • Support the CFO in undertaking the digitalisation transformation of Finance that includes upgrading the payroll system.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the CFO.

  • A strong Payroll leader with demonstrated experience in a similar position.
  • Proficient in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation) and experience in using various payroll systems
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and compliance requirement
  • Experience managing payroll processing for a mid-to-large sized organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to lead, train, and manage a payroll team effectively
