Each ward has a unique specialty:Vickers 2 specialises in diabetic foot care, offering expert support to patients with complex diabetic foot complications and share a commitment to excellence in acute care, integrating physical and mental health management to address the multifaceted needs of our patientsWe're seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have:A proven track record in delivering high standards of care.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.A passion for diabetes and endocrinology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and support the team.Evidence of ongoing professional development.Main duties of the jobAs a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in leading, inspiring, and supporting a team of skilled professionals.   • Teaching and assessing certificate or equivalent (PEAP programme).
  • Possess or working towards a degree.
  • To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
ExperienceEssential
  • Relevant experience at AFC band 5 (or equivalent).
  • Experience at managing long term conditions.
Desirable
  • Relevant experience of caring for patients with Diabetes and Endocrinology conditions.
  • Experience of caring for patients with eating disorders.
Further TrainingEssential
  • IV drug administration competency.
  • Evidence of recent professional development.
  • Basic IT/Computer skills
