Job Description Summary The Manufacturing Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence and supporting teams in achieving key objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This role involves coordinating activities, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals within the civil power sector.
The Manufacturing Leader also serves as a key resource for problem-solving, continuous improvement, and the implementation of lean principles to enhance processes and performance.   • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.
  • Typically managing hourly employee populations.
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.
  • May include support roles with specialised technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
  • Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgement within established procedures.
  • Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Proficiency in lean tools and techniques, such as Kaizen, Standard Work, and Hoshin Kanri, to enhance processes and performance.

  • Competence in monitoring and interpreting performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, operations,
