- Develope overall retention strategy and set ambitious goals for churn reduction and lifetime value.
- Ideate, design, and implement initiatives based on customer interviews, analytics, and experiments.
- Oversee the creation of processes to spot and address churn risks before they become cancellations.
- Analyse churn causes, build robust offboarding processes, and conduct user research to monitor why customers leave.
- Document roadmaps, functional requirements, and vision for all churn and retention features.
- Operate as the product owner in a scrum team, ensuring effective prioritisation, backlog management, and alignment with engineering.
- Communicate successes, learnings, and data clearly to the leadership and the wider team.
- Champion a culture of proactivity and continuous improvement in all things retention.
- A minimum of seven years' experience managing retention, churn reduction, or optimisation within subscription products- physical goods focus a big plus but if its SaaS or digital subscriptions you MUST come froma high growth start-up/scale-up
- Solid record of delivering and clearly measuring retention improvements, ready to share past metrics and case studies.
- Experience in designing and delivering A/B and multivariate tests, as well as running and analysing user research end to end.
- Advanced data skills using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Optimizely, with the proven ability to turn insight into action.
- Strong experience with both strategic and tactical aspects of retention, ideally in a scale-up or high-growth B2C environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and an ability to thrive both independently and as an energetic virtual team player.
- Developed business acumen, comfortable prioritising opportunities, identifying trade-offs, and driving commercial results.
- Committed to best practice, data compliance, and collaboration with all parts of the business.
