
Senior Manager – Data Retention and Deletion Risk Management

- Support Enterprise Data Office strategies, standards, processes, and procedures, including the Enterprise Record Management Operating Standard, procedures, and related guidance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including the Enterprise Data Office, Business Unit Data Offices, Front-Line Business Units, Global Privacy Oversight, Information Security, Legal, and Global Records Management teams to ensure strategic alignment.
- Identify best practices for standards, procedures, and training to drive Enterprise continuity where ownership may be business unit or region specific.
- Manage cross-functional forums to drive central classification and categorization of data to support appropriate implementation and management.
- Provide support in training, communications, and change management related to Data Management across Enterprise.
- Provide support for regulatory exams and continuous monitoring of the program.
- Support the integration of Policy, Standards, and Procedures into key processes across the Enterprise.
- Support the creation of materials for regular updates to senior level stakeholders.
- Provide requirements to Product Owners and Technology to build, enhance, and maintain tools that automate governance capabilities, as well as related metrics and reports that track compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Supporting go-to subject matter experts in sharing subject matter expertise within the BU on decentralized risks
- Facilitating activities to comply with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types
- Support advising on decentralized risk types into broader operational risk policies and programs
- Experience in financial services industry
- A strong strategic approach with 3+ years prior experience developing and implementing data governance and management practices regarding data governance, deletion and retention of data, and data privacy.
- Experience with developing and implementing data management at an Enterprise or local level for a financial services company.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with implementing requirements of BCBS-239 and Privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.). Global Privacy experience preferred.
- Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
- High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability and resiliency; and
- A track record of influencing teams through sophisticated initiatives.
