A superb fixed-term live-out nanny position has become available in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire.The role is to cover the maternity leave of the current nanny. Starting in July 2024, the role will initially be for twelve months, with the possibility to extend by mutual agreement.This professional and friendly family are seeking a kind, nurturing, active, organised, and efficient nanny with plenty of initiative to join their happy family. You will be taking care of a happy and active little girl, aged 2.5 years. She attends nursery one morning a week, this could possibly increase during the year, when the salary will be adjusted. Mum and Dad occasionally work from home, but this will be a sole charge role.The hours of the role will be as follows:Monday – 11.45-19.00
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 07.00-19.00
Every other Friday - 07.00-17.30Any additional ad hoc hours for babysitting will be paid as overtime.The family is looking for someone who possesses a genuine passion for child development, enjoys creating fun and educational activities, and is committed to providing excellent care for their child. They would like her to learn and develop in a balanced way, with plenty of stimulating, educational, and age-appropriate indoor activities (games, reading, singing, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, crafts, and imaginary games) mixed with plenty of outdoor play and visits to the park, ensuring she is happy and safe at all times. You will also be able to attend groups and playdates so that the little girl can socialise with other children.As well as general care of the little girl, this role is to include nursery duties such as keeping keeping her bedroom and playroom organised and making sure that all areas used are left tidy at the end of the day. You will also be responsible for family laundry. Although the family employ a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly (emptying the dishwasher, the occasional load of washing, etc) would be appreciated.You should be a confident cook and will be responsible for providing meals for the little girl – healthy and nutritious dinners and the occasional snack, always homemade from fresh ingredients.You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence and a fully insured car. Job End Date: July 2025
Pay: £38,340 gross per annum / overtime to be paid at £15 gross per hour
