We collaborate with organisations of all shapes and sizes across a broad range of tax solutions.About the RoleWe are looking to recruit a US Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to be based in our London office. The role will involve working closely in a strong team on a range of clients and exciting projects, collaborating with different teams and locations across the firm, as well as helping build a new US tax practice within a Big 4 firm.What Will You Be Doing?As a US/UK Tax Assistant Manager, you will be required to:
  • Assist with the management of all aspects of the tax compliance process and wider client relationship management under the support of a line manager.
  • Contribute to advisory projects involving various tax and residency queries whilst developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Be involved in the continuing building and development of a new US tax team within a Big 4 environment.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and constructively at a variety of levels with clients, their other professional advisors, and your colleagues.
Experience Required
  • Managing the compliance process for a range of US tax returns, including cross-border issues.
  • Reviewing US tax returns and providing feedback to the team.
  • Delegating work to junior team members and supporting their technical and soft-skill development.
  • A solid understanding of domicile and residence issues, including familiarity with the Substantial Presence Test and the Statutory Residence Test.
  • Assisting with client management, building relationships, and overseeing work in progress, including billing and cash collection.
What Will You Need?Essential:
  • EA and ATT qualified.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing US tax returns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to career ownership and professional development.
  • Proficiency in CCH Axcess.
LocationsWe are open to speaking with talent across the UK, but our core hubs for Private Client work are:
  • London (Canary Wharf)
