Start date: As soon as possibleWe are seeking a highly organised and dedicated Exams Officer to join our secondary school in Leyland. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills to play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of all internal and external examinations.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the administration, organisation, and smooth running of all public and internal examinations.
- Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
- Coordinating examination timetables, rooming, and invigilation staff.
- Maintaining accurate records, entries, and results.
- Liaising with staff, students, parents, and exam boards to ensure all aspects of examinations are delivered effectively.
- Training, managing, and supporting a team of invigilators.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems (SIMS/other MIS desirable).
- A flexible and proactive approach to working.
- Experience in an educational environment or exams administration (desirable but not essential – training can be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
