Senior European Road Freight Operator

- Plan and coordinate groupage, full-load, and express deliveries across Europe
- Manage round-trip driver interactions and scheduling
- Source and negotiate one-way international haulage with third-party providers
- Maintain regular communication with overseas agents and partners
- Allocate domestic collection/delivery tasks to in-house or subcontracted carriers
- Handle customer queries, providing timely updates on shipment statuses
- Monitor and manage KPIs for key client accounts
- Perform accurate data entry and generate transport documentation
- Prepare and send spot rate quotations
- Ensure timely and accurate charging of files for invoicing purposes
- Complete customs clearance processes, including export/import declarations, GVMS, and NCTS procedures
- Supervise and support a Junior Operator in daily operations
- Proven experience in European road freight operations or a similar logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of international customs procedures and documentation
- Solid understanding of the import/export market and industry regulations
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of operational costs and revenue
- Team leadership experience is an advantage
- 25 days + bank holidays – 2 days to be used at Christmas
