European Road Freight Operator

- Assist Senior Operators in planning groupage, full-load, and express deliveries to and from European destinations
- Liaise with round-trip drivers to support daily operations
- Support the sourcing of one-way international equipment and assist in negotiating with hauliers
- Maintain regular communication with overseas agents and logistics partners
- Assist in allocating domestic collections and deliveries to in-house and third-party hauliers
- Respond to customer queries and provide shipment updates
- Contribute to the monitoring of KPIs for key clients
- Perform accurate data entry and help generate required documentation
- Provide spot rate quotations under supervision
- Assist with charging files in preparation for invoicing
- Support customs clearance processes, including export/import declarations, GVMS, and NCTS procedures
- Interest in European road freight or a similar logistics/transport role
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn customs procedures and documentation
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about import/export processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
- Good administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer-focused with a professional attitude
- Commercial awareness or willingness to develop an understanding of cost-effective operations
- 25 days + bank holidays – 2 days to be used at Christmas
