- Managing the Purchase Ledger: entering invoices, seeking authorisation, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting the Sales Ledger: posting receipts and assisting with invoicing.
- Preparing and completing bank reconciliations.
- Reviewing creditor reports and preparing weekly supplier payments.
- Reviewing the aged debtor report, allocating payments, and chasing outstanding debt.
- Liaising with suppliers and licensees, handling queries promptly and professionally.
- Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations.
- Processing staff expenses, invoices, and receipts.
- Posting credit card transactions.
- Managing direct debit set-up and processing.
- Handling international currency transactions and accounts.
- Supporting colleagues across the business with account-related queries.
- Answering incoming calls and responding to enquiries.
- Handling confidential documents and maintaining filing systems.
- Producing reports and analysis from the CRM system.
- Providing cover for colleagues within the accounts department when required.
- Supporting ad-hoc administrative tasks when needed.

- Previous experience working in a finance/accounts role.
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Experience with Xero accounting software.
- Strong IT skills – Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach.
- AAT qualification (or working towards) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of VAT and basic accounting principles.
