With over £2 billion in assets under management and a growing portfolio, this is your chance to join a forward-thinking, privately owned business delivering high-impact projects from inception to completion.As part of their growing Commercial team, they're now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or Commercial Manager, for the right person) to support the delivery of complex, high-value developments across the UK.The Opportunity
You will play a key role in driving cost-effectiveness across a multi-project portfolio, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery of major design-and-build contracts. Projects range from 300+ bed hotels to 700+ bed student schemes -all at different stages of planning and construction.This is a high-visibility, commercially strategic role, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Management and working across the full development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage detailed cost plans, procurement schedules, and project cash flowsAdvise on commercial aspects from early-stage acquisition through to post-contract deliveryOversee tendering processes and contractor negotiationsManage change control procedures and assess impact on project budgetsReport regularly on costs and performance to senior stakeholdersCoordinate closely with Development Managers, Contractors, Cost Consultants, and Fund MonitorsLead commercial input across all RIBA stages, from feasibility to closeoutWhat You'll NeedDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related fieldStrong developer-side experience in student accommodation, hotels or BTR (Main Contractor's experience would also be considered for this role)Excellent knowledge of procurement, estimating and cost planningHighly organised with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skillsComfortable overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through to deliveryWhat's on OfferUp to £90,000 basic for the right individualBonus: Performance bonus of up to 25%Perks: Training & coaching allowance, global hotel discountsCareer growth: Exposure to large-scale developments and opportunity to shape commercial strategyCulture: Purpose-driven, design-led and community-focused business with an entrepreneurial spiritThis is your opportunity to join a fast-growing real estate platform with real impact, delivering projects that reshape communities and set new standards in development.Apply now to be considered.Unfortunately due to the nature of the role and business, we are unable to provide work sponsorship for this role.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
