About the RoleNottingham City Council is dedicated to preventing homelessness and improving the housing options available to our community. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Private Rented Sector Development Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing initiatives to prevent homelessness by promoting and enhancing access to sustainable private sector housing options.In this role, your primary responsibility will be to actively promote the private rented sector as a housing solution for those facing homelessness. to . Your role will involve collaborating with private landlords, promoting the Nottingham Private Rented Assistance Scheme (NPRAS), and staying informed about legislation impacting the private rented sector.Join us in making a positive impact on homelessness prevention and housing accessibility in our community.   • Ability to raise awareness and inspire enthusiasm for a new initiative
  • Proven ability to plan a new initiative and implement a project plan
  • Good written and verbal presentation skills, including the ability to write letters and produce reports
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality customer-focused service
  • Ability to attend forums and events
  • Good operational working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sectors
