- To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to a highly complex and varied patient group, their carers and families, accessing acute Paediatric services.
- To work as the physiotherapy clinical lead providing highly specialised physiotherapy care within a designated speciality of paediatric services.

- Degree or equivalent Diploma in Physiotherapy
- State Registered with Health and Care Professions Council
- Evidence of CPD and relevant post-graduate courses
- Full driving licence
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Involvement with the relevant CSP Clinical Special Interest Group e.g., APCP
- Highly specialist knowledge of medical conditions relevant to the speciality and their impact on patient's functional abilities.
- Highly specialist knowledge of the physiotherapy process and its application with the client group in the speciality
- Extensive NHS post-grad experience including considerable experience as a senior physiotherapist within a paediatric setting preferably as part of a Band 6 rotation.
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and working with families
- Experience of teaching and delivering presentations.
- Knowledge of undertaking research projects
- Knowledge of current NHS initiatives e.g., National Service Frameworks, Improving Working Lives
- Previous experience at Band 7 grade
- Experience of carrying out audit projects
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others both formally and informally.
- Good organisation, time management, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own practice
- Car Driver
- Able to cope with physical demands of post including using wheelchairs and hoists, therapeutic moving and handling of patients and application of a range of manual therapy techniques
- IT Skills
- Specialist treatment skills relevant to client group
