We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.The successful candidate will have a UK CCT or equivalent in paediatric cardiology and shown a commitment advanced echocardiography during their training. They will demonstrate higher specialist training in echocardiography and preferably will have undergone a post CCT fellowship and worked in a unit delivering the subspecialty. The candidate will be able to run a busy paediatric cardiology on call including experience with the management of children on mechanical support and in the peri transplant period. The candidate will demonstrate an ability to carry out interoperative echo imaging for children with congenital heart disease and in selected adult congenital heart disease patients. The candidate will be keen to be integrated into all aspects of the department and have show experience in developing the echocardiographic component of advanced heart failure management including ventricular assist in children.Main duties of the jobTo work with the current team of consultants to provide tertiary cardiac care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease in the Northern region and patients referred from other regions for ongoing management.
