- Process Subject Access Requests: Process subject access requests in line with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Locate, Access, and Extract Information: Locate, access, and extract information from computer systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Information Redaction: Redact third-party and sensitive information to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Liaise with Internal Departments: Liaise with internal departments to obtain relevant documentation.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of requests, responses, and actions taken.
- Information Governance: Provide guidance and advice on information governance and data protection matters.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all information handling practices adhere to council policies and procedures.
- Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons in Social Work, or equivalent).
- Social Care England registration.
- Updated DBS check.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Social Work.
- Successful completion of ASYE.
- Previous experience in records management, data protection, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
- Experience working within a local authority or similar organization.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data securely.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
