Are you an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional with strong knowledge of Sage? This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in Stoke-on-Trent, working in a part-time role that offers flexibility and variety. If you’re confident handling purchase ledgers, thrive on accuracy, and enjoy working across teams and with suppliers, this could be the perfect role for you.Hours per week: 20hrs (5 days of 4 hours or 4 days of 5 hours)Hours of work: can be reasonably flexible with start / finish time (although not before 8am or after 5.30pm)Key Responsibilities:Validate and process overhead purchase invoices and credit notes across multiple group entities and currenciesEnsure invoices meet purchase order, approval, and payment term requirementsReconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate overhead commitments, including utilitiesPrepare weekly BACS payment runs, posting and allocating payments daily in the purchase ledgerReconcile company credit card statements and receipts, ensuring accurate and timely posting into Sage IntacctMaintain professional communication with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries and verify bank detailsAssist with variance analysis, audit preparation, and other reporting requirementsProvide cross-cover for the Purchase Ledger Clerk during holidays or busy periodsSupport the Finance team by maintaining accurate records, systems compliance, and timely updates in Sage IntacctIdeal Candidate:Previous experience in a similar role, ideally with multi-currency exposureProficient in Sage, Excel, and general office softwareStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detailHighly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressureStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solvingPositive team player who can also work independently when requiredWhat’s in it for you?£28,000 per annum (pro rata)Flexible part-time role – 20 hours per week with options to suit work-life balanceSupportive and friendly team environmentOpportunities for ongoing development and process improvementIf you’re looking for a role where your finance expertise and accuracy will make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!
