Job Title: Social Worker - MACH and Assessment Team Location: Middlesbrough Middlesbrough are seeking experienced and committed Social Workers to join their MACH and Assessment teams. Their Multi-Agency Children's Hub (MACH) is their front door service, where information comes into the local authority and is triaged. For some children and families, this can result in no further action, signposting to a more appropriate service, or a step-down to Early Help services. Where further work is required, our assessment teams work with children and their families to fully understand any risks and needs. For some, this will result in a brief period of support before signposting to another service; for others, this will result in longer-term intervention and transfer into one of our other social services, such as Safeguarding and Care Planning. Responsibilities -Frontline Assessment: You'll undertake comprehensive assessments of children, young people, and their families, responding to a wide range of needs and safeguarding concerns. This includes initial child protection inquiries and Child and Family Assessments.Information Gathering: You'll be skilled at gathering and analysing information from multiple sources, including families, professionals, and other agencies, to inform your decision-making.Risk Management: You'll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks to children and young people, making timely decisions and taking appropriate action to ensure their safety.Multi-Agency Collaboration: You'll work closely with a diverse range of partners, including police, health services, and education professionals, within a multi-agency setting to share information and develop coordinated plans.Case Management: You'll be responsible for managing your caseload efficiently, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with statutory requirements. We are looking for passionate individuals with a minimum of 3 years' experience in social work. What Middlesbrough offer:
