- Leadership and Team Management: As the Imaging Manager, you will lead, inspire, and manage a team of radiology and imaging professionals. Your responsibilities will include planning, allocating tasks, assessing performance, providing timely feedback, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet patient and service needs effectively.
- Operational Management: Oversee and manage the daily operations of imaging services, ensuring exceptional patient care and service delivery standards. Develop and implement operational plans, monitor performance targets, and manage resources efficiently within budget constraints.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards such as IRMER, Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, and local policies. Lead clinical governance efforts, conduct audits, and maintain quality assurance across the department.
- Financial and Resource Management: Manage the department’s financial and physical resources, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation. Develop business plans, oversee billing processes, and identify opportunities for commercial growth and efficiency savings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Consultant Radiologists, referring clinicians, hospital management, and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to support optimal patient management and service development.
- Health and Safety: Foster a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to health, safety, and security policies. Manage radiation protection responsibilities, ensuring staff are trained and comply with safety standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Implement best practices and manage projects aimed at elevating imaging services.
- Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring a skilled and professionally competent workforce. Oversee induction and training programmes, maintaining a motivated team that meets professional standards consistently.
