Your roleAs an Electrical Technician, you will undertake the installation, modification, repair/maintenance and diagnostics of electrical equipment/systems, i.e. engine systems, power supplies, charging, rewire, and some electronics. Working in conjunction with other members of the All-weather Lifeboat Centre, you will ensure that tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.The ALC offers a clean, organised and safe work environment, with all tools, materials and PPE provided to enable you to undertake this work.About youYou must be able to work to Engineering drawings and standardised work, safely and efficiently. You will be working as a member of a multi-disciplined team ensuring that lifeboats are refitted on time and within budget, meeting the RNLI’s stringent quality standards.It is essential you have relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.Previous experience on the assembly, installation, modification, repair/maintenance, and diagnosis of electrical equipment/systems within the marine environment is desirable.Come and join us in the build of this centre of excellence and help save lives at sea!SafeguardingThe RNLI is committed to safeguarding; protecting a person’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect.
