- Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion across a varied portfolio
- Supervising and mentoring audit and accounts team members, ensuring high standards
- Reviewing working papers, financial statements and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Overseeing workloads, running regular team meetings and reporting progress to senior leadership
- Building strong, lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders – the key contact for audit and accounting
- Monitoring budgets and delivering audit findings with practical recommendations
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with strong experience within an accountancy practice
- A track record of managing audit projects and leading teams
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102 and UK GAAP)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident, organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A full UK driving licence (for occasional travel when required)
