Salary: Competitive hourly rates (dependent on experience)Newstaff Education is expanding its Alternative Provision Department and is looking for passionate, patient, and experienced Tutors to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver 1:1 or small group tuition tailored to the needs of students who are unable to access mainstream education.Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons in core subjects (English, Maths, Science, etc.)Support students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficultiesWork in homes, schools, community centres, or online – depending on student needsMonitor and report on progress, adapting teaching methods as necessaryCollaborate with our education team and local authority stakeholders✅ What We’re Looking For:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant tutoring experienceExperience working with SEND learners (essential)Strong behaviour management and ability to build rapportPatience, empathy, and a child-centred approachEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirableWhy Join Newstaff?Be part of a growing team making a real impact in alternative educationFlexible working patterns to suit your lifestyleOngoing support and CPD opportunitiesCompetitive pay and mileage contributionsA dedicated consultant who understands your needsApply today to start changing lives, one student at a time.
