This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behaviour management, who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students.Role Overview:As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with managing behaviour and emotional regulation. You will build strong relationships, deliver targeted interventions, and help create a positive and structured learning environment where students feel safe and valued.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement strategies to help students manage emotions, behaviour, and social interactions.
- Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adapt support plans.
- Encourage student engagement and promote positive behaviour across the school.
- Support with behaviour-related incidents and restorative approaches.
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Understanding safeguarding, trauma-informed approaches, or SEMH is desirable.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
