This role provides a direct opportunity to make a difference to lives of the residents of Doncaster. The role will have direct responsibility for a geographical area within Doncaster, but also work across the borough to help develop and move the service forward delivering excellent results for its customers.The role will oversee the management of around 70 staff and will be supported by a team of Street Scene supervisors. The successful applicant will be a strong, enthusiastic, energetic leader and manager, with a passion to help improve Doncaster for all its residents. The successful candidate will oversee all scheduled grounds maintenance and environmental cleansing work which is carried out daily. This includes maintaining the Councils parks and green spaces, cleansing the city and town centres, and dealing with fly tipping. The role will work with wider Street Scene management team to improve the whole service. This will involve identify creative, realistic solutions to the challenges faced and seeking out commercial opportunities to help drive the service forward.This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate who is ready to embrace the challenge of making a change in the heart of community.
