Dans client in South Yorkshire is on the look out for a Deputy Head Nurse to lead their nursing team! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical care and customer services.
  • Shifts are 4 x 9 hours per week.
  • Shift patterns are: 8-9:30pm Mon -Thurs, 8-7:30pm Fri, 8:30-3:30pm Sat-Sun.
  • Shifts include prep, ops, inpatient care, consults and circulating.
  • 1 in 4 weekends no TOIL
  • A fair share of bank holidays throughout the year!
This role supports the Head Nurse in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement of all clinical activities within the practice.The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, a passion for varied caseloads, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential. This position is well-suited to someone eager to make the most of excellent learning and development opportunities.Key Responsibilities include:
  • Involvement in a range of tasks including preparation, operations, inpatient care, consultations, and circulating duties.
  • Confidence in sole charge working is essential.
  • An interest in Schedule 3 procedures is desirable.
  • Clinical coaching duties are included; however, prior experience in this area is not mandatory.
The team operates from a purpose-built, modern facility equipped with advanced veterinary technology. The site includes multiple consultation rooms, operating theatres, a dental suite, an ultrasound suite, a CT scanning suite with a 128-slice CT scanner, separate dog and cat wards, and well-organised prep areas.
