
Treatment Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist

- oBSc (Therapeutic Radiography), DCR (T) or equivalent and HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer Or: B.Sc. Honours Degree in Healthcare Science (Radiotherapy Physics), Physics, Applied Physics or a relevant subject and eligibility for appropriate registration as Clinical Technologist/Healthcare Scientist Practitioner
- oMasters level training in relevant specialist area
- oSignificant post qualification experience in treatment planning.
- Basic computer skills including the use of Word, Excel and Windows applications.
- Able to work with cancer patients and deal with stressful situations
- Able to communicate highly complex instructions clearly and unambiguously within a multidisciplinary team both verbally and in writing
- Able to teach and train groups of other professional staff
- Able to develop good professional relationships with multidisciplinary staff groups
- Understanding of hazards posed by, and precautions needed with Ionising Radiation
- Understanding of infection control
- Able to exercise own initiative when dealing with issues within own area of competence
- Good supervisory and leadership skills, with ability to delegate and motivate
- Good time management and organisational skills and ability to work deadlines
- Cannulation trained
