
Radiotherapy Planning CT Lead

- BSc (Therapeutic Radiography), DCR (T) or equivalent and HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer
- Masters level training in relevant specialist area
- Significant post qualification experience. Relevant post qualification experience in pre-treatment
- Specialist knowledge of pre-treatment patient positioning, immobilisation and imaging for Treatment Planning purposes.
- Demonstration of participation in CPD
- In depth understanding of the risks arising from equipment failure and treatment planning areas.
- In depth knowledge of relevant legislation (IRR and IR(ME)R) Act as a Practitioner, Operator and Referrer under the terms of IR(ME)R
- Experience using Virtual Simulation software
- Experience using Treatment Planning systems for Contouring
- Basic computer skills including the use of Word, Excel and Windows applications.
- Able to communicate highly complex instructions clearly and unambiguously within a multidisciplinary team both verbally and in writing
- Able to teach and train groups of other professional staff
- Understanding of hazards posed by, and precautions needed with Ionising Radiation
- Able to exercise own initiative when dealing with issues within own area of competence
- Trained and competent in Cannulation
