- As a Senior Support Worker you will support the management team in ensuring the smooth running of the residential services for adults with profound learning disability and complex needs.
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their care plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals and promoting their independence.
- Lead and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular assessments of client needs and update care plans accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with families and external professionals.
- Be aware of and oversee any rotas, monitor staff absence.
- Have worked as a Senior Support Worker in a similar setting and ideally hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and relevant legislation.
- Awareness of Safeguarding Adults.
- Flexible in your working approach and be able to work weekends and shifts between 8am-22.00am
