- Monitor relevant planning authority web sites and advertisements in the local press to identify work opportunities.
- Undertake some estimating duties when required.
- Take off and check off quantities against client schedules of information, requirements, and expectations, and highlight any omissions or errors.
- Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and undertake robust assessment of quotations upon receipt.·Undertake post tender negotiations.
- Assist in the maintaining of the sub-contract data base.
- Maintain contract documentation and advise on pretender and post contract matters.
- Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients, consultants and / or sub-contractors
- Undertake post contract liaison with clients and design team
- Measure and value construction works off plan and on site.
- Accurately price, negotiate and agree contractual variations.
- Minimise costs of projects and maximise profitability, without compromising our high standard of workmanship and quality.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely interim valuations and final accounts.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Commercial and Residential experience desirable.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Salary £60k - £70k per annum based on experience
