Matchtech have partnered with a Tier 1 company in their search for Quantity Surveyors & Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Norwich on a reptuable highways project.Key skills required for this rolequantity surveyor, senior quantity surveyor, highways, civilsImportanthttps://www.matchtech.com/Job descriptionOur client, a prominent player in the HTP sector, is currently seeking multiple Quantity Surveyors, ranging from senior to intermediate levels, to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This role provides an exciting opportunity for professionals experienced in quantity surveying to contribute to leading commercial projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects
  • Performing cost analysis and preparing budget forecasts
  • Evaluating and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Managing project finances, including cost control and cash flow management
  • Overseeing the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other necessary documentation
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Providing guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors on the team
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in quantity surveying, with a preference for senior-level candidates having significant experience in the field
  • Highways/Infrastructure experience
  • NEC Contract experience
  • Proficiency in commercial management and contract administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes and industry standards
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
