- A degree in Nursing and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with current/recent clinical experience gained within the health/social care sector
- You will also need to have some experience of teaching or training.
- If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the college will support you to obtain this.
- A degree in Nursing
- Registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
- A minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g DET, PGCE) ** or willingness and ability to work towards qualification, supported by the College
- Teaching or training experience
- Experience of delivering Health and Social Care programmes including Health Sciences, BTEC including external exam units
- Current or recent clinical experience gained within the Health/Social Care sector
- Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area, with good knowledge of Biology
- Knowledge of and ability to teach Health and Science
- The ability to engage and enthuse vocational learners aged 16-19
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good classroom practice
- Good IT skills
- Ability to use IT/e-learning within the curriculum and deliver online teaching, learning and assessment successfully
- Good administration/organisational skills
- Good team working skills
