Health & Social Care Lecturer - Health Specialism - Full Time - Harrow, London - Permanent ContractHealth & Social Care Lecturer£32,455-£45,260 per annum (including London weighting)Full time, PermanentHarrow, LondonStart Date to be confirmedDeadline for applications 23rd June 2025At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care Lecturer based at their Harrow Campus.The college's Health and Social Care Section is a successful, dynamic and vibrant area of the College, delivering a range of courses to learners, primarily aged 16-19 to prepare them for careers in the health/social care sector.They are seeking to appoint a qualified Nurse to fill this full time Lecturer post to teach across the Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health and BTEC Health and Social Care Levels 1, 2 and 3.You will need to possess:
  • A degree in Nursing and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with current/recent clinical experience gained within the health/social care sector
  • You will also need to have some experience of teaching or training.
  • If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the college will support you to obtain this.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Nursing
  • Registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
  • A minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g DET, PGCE) ** or willingness and ability to work towards qualification, supported by the College
Knowledge and Experience
  • Teaching or training experience
  • Experience of delivering Health and Social Care programmes including Health Sciences, BTEC including external exam units
  • Current or recent clinical experience gained within the Health/Social Care sector
  • Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area, with good knowledge of Biology
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach Health and Science

  • The ability to engage and enthuse vocational learners aged 16-19
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good classroom practice
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to use IT/e-learning within the curriculum and deliver online teaching, learning and assessment successfully
