This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and successful Health and Social Care department, supporting learners aged 16-19 as they prepare for rewarding careers in the sector.Please note: To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified nurse with current or recent clinical experience and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Applications from non-nurses will not be considered.About the RoleYou will play a key role in delivering the Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health, as well as BTEC Health and Social Care courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3. Your expertise as a nurse will be invaluable in providing real-world insights and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.Essential Requirements
- Nursing Degree: You must hold a degree in Nursing.
- NMC Registration: You must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Clinical Experience: You must have current or recent clinical experience within the health/social care sector.
- Teaching/Training Experience: Some teaching or training experience is required.
- Teaching Qualification: A Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. DET, PGCE) is desirable. If you do not already possess this, the College will support you to achieve it.
- Experience delivering Health and Social Care programmes, including Health Sciences and BTEC (including external exam units).
- Strong knowledge of Biology and the ability to teach Health and Science subjects.
- Ability to engage and motivate vocational learners aged 16-19.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good classroom management and IT skills, including the ability to deliver online teaching and assessment.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to learner achievement, equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
