
Global Claims Handler

- Oversee the full lifecycle of claims, including coverage assessment, investigations, and evaluation of policy liability, legal liability, and quantum
- Negotiate fair settlements with policyholders, brokers, solicitors, and other stakeholders to bring claims to a satisfactory resolution
- Manage an individual caseload efficiently, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cost control
- Work with third-party vendors and service providers to maintain high-quality claims service
- Represent the company in internal and external meetings, including client and broker reviews
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering clear, timely communication
- Provide support to senior adjusters, managers, and underwriters on projects and ad-hoc assignments
- Handle a wide range of claims across multiple business lines in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to progress claim resolutions.
- Track, monitor, and report on claims developments, proactively addressing potential challenges.
- Actively contribute in team meetings and work towards both personal and team performance goals.
- Keep up to date with industry practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve claims handling processes.
- Demonstrated experience in claims handling, ideally with exposure to Marine, Aviation, Property, or Casualty claims.
- Knowledge of end-to-end claims processes, from investigation through to settlement.
- Experience building and managing relationships with brokers, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to achieve effective claim resolutions.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage caseloads effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Customer-centric mindset with a dedication to providing outstanding service.
- Professional qualifications such as ACII (or progress towards it) are advantageous.
