SEN Teaching Assistant Position - KnowsleyLocation: Knowsley
Start Date: September
Job Type: Full-time/Long-termAre you an empathetic and dedicated individual ready to take on a rewarding role in education? We are searching for a reliable and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN department in Knowsley. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in September.Key Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Provide direct support to students with special educational needs in classroom activities and one-on-one sessions.
  • Help foster student engagement and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain detailed records of student behaviour and progress.
  • Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with students, educators, and families.
  • Contribute positively as a member of a collaborative team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with SEN in a UK classroom environment.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to obtain one).
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and continuous self-improvement.
