
Learning Support Assistant (part-time)

- Supporting learning: Helping pupils understand instructions clearly, and providing support to keep them engaged with lessons- either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Encouraging communication: Assisting children in expressing themselves, whether through speech, writing, or alternative communication methods.
- Promoting independence: Encouraging students to develop self-help skills and confidence in their abilities.
- Behaviour support: having excellent classroom behaviour management and providing emotional support when needed.
- Preparing materials: Assisting teachers with lesson preparation.
- Supporting inclusion: Helping students with special educational needs (SEN) access the curriculum and participate fully in school life and altering the learning material to their individual needs.
- Previous experience working with children in a school environment.
- Experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references.
- Work in a supportive and inclusive school environment.
- Support from a dedicated and experienced team.
