- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Support production teams to maintain equipment performance and achieve operational targets.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Accurately record all completed work, root causes, and spare parts usage within the CMMS system.
- Review contractor RAMS and manage permits to work where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe maintenance workspace.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a world-class manufacturing approach.
- Apprentice-trained multiskilled engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in planned maintenance, fault finding, and reactive repairs.
- Strong knowledge of HMIs, PLCs/DCS/SCADA systems for fault diagnostics.
- Familiarity with instrument calibrations and CMMS systems.
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry working with hygienic equipment.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety and food safety compliance.
- 17th/18th Edition Electrical qualification
- HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline
- IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safety certification (desirable)
- CompEx EX01 to EX06 certifications (desirable)
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing engineering projects
