- To work with the People Advisors for providing an effective and customer focussed HR service which supports all aspects of an employee's relationship and engagement with the business.
- To provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation agreements.
- To advise, support and guide managers in investigations, performance management, absence management, conduct related disciplinaries, appeals and all family friendly procedures (maternity, paternity, parental leave, flexible working)
- To provide administration support in the recruitment process from start-to-finish including assisting and guiding managers throughout the process.
- To assist in the production of HR Statistics and KPIs on a weekly / monthly basis.
- To develop and maintain close working relationships with key customers (internal and external)
- To update and maintain the HR Information Systems (Oracle)
- Producing and maintaining accurate reports and records for all HR issues
- To ensure that all administration is carried out in a timely, effectively and accurate manner
- To support the development of strong communication and feedback channels with all staff and through a variety of mechanisms to support employee engagement.
- To support with the learning and development
- Reporting to the People Manager
- A 'can do' solution focused attitude and approach.
- An understanding in the principles of good HR practice and employment law
- Resourceful and able to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Works effectively within the team and see the potential in others.
- Previous HR experience within logistics / distribution is an advantage
- Excellence in administration including attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy
