- Understanding of the legal responsibilities of the profession, national and local standards.
- Understanding of the place of Social Enterprise within the NHS.
- A sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options, e.g. exercise rehabilitation, manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education and self management
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, presenting ideas with clarity and in a persuasive and influential style. Good IT skills.
- Remains updated in professional practice and NHS developments.
- Knowledge of digital /virtual assessments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Ability to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities.
- Ability to cope with working in a stressful environment and with emotional or aggressive patients and careers.
- Adaptable and supportive of change.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Able to work as a team member
- At least 18 months Post Graduate NHS Experience at Band 5 level in a broad range of clinical areas including Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy, and if possible Orthopaedics, Elderly and Neurology.
- Experience of audit, research and understanding of quality issues.
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of continuing professional development within musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy.
- Acupuncture or other post graduate training.
