As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may face challenges in managing their behaviour, helping them develop positive coping strategies and engage fully in their education.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Support students with behavioural and emotional difficulties both in and outside the classroom.
- Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster engagement and academic success.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to ensure effective support for students.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, proactive approach to behaviour management.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
