
Commercial Manager

- Lead and provide commercial input for major tenders, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, draft contractual agreements, and manage contracts through to successful completion.
- Partner with business development teams during bid and proposal stages to ensure all commercial and contractual aspects are reviewed, drafted, and submitted effectively.
- Identify and communicate contract terms that present significant risk, advising senior management on appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead negotiations with customers and partners during bid, award, and project execution phases.
- Advise the Supply Chain Team on contract condition flow-down to sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Draft, prepare, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs and ad-hoc contracts.
- Act as the go-to point for all commercial or legal queries within the business.
- Play an active role in cross-functional project teams, ensuring programmes are delivered compliantly and cost-effectively.
- Manage customer relationships and communication for a range of UK and international contracts.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, export controls, and intellectual property protection/licensing.
- Have proven experience working within a quality management system
- Background in defence, maritime, technology, aerospace or related sectors
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of contractual risk management and commercial governance.
- Expert-level experience in commercial/contracts management, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.
