This position works out of our Maidenhead. We are focused on delivering diagnostic excellence through strategic partnerships, innovative supply chain solutions, and robust contract management.As the Senior Commercial Contracts Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading contract strategy, supplier relationship management, and commercial negotiations. You’ll support margin delivery, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across a diverse supplier and customer base, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive operational excellence.What You’ll DoLead strategic contracting for products and services across the supply chainDevelop and execute supplier strategies, including risk and category managementManage escalations and disputes related to managed service contractsOversee asset management processes and contract obligationsDeliver annual margin and savings targetsProvide consultancy on tender processes, contract law, and value-for-money initiativesConduct risk analysis at tender and contract signing stagesEnsure governance and compliance with regulatory and industry standardsSupport implementation and change control for new contractsDevelop business continuity and risk assessment plansDrive process improvement and regulatory compliance through project-based initiativesRequired QualificationsUniversity degree in Business Management or related fieldMaster’s degree or MCIPS certificationQuality audit experience (desirable)Broad understanding of the diagnostics industry and NHS (desirable)Preferred QualificationsProven experience in supplier relationship and contract managementStrong financial evaluation and commercial risk assessment skillsKnowledge of strategic pricing models and total cost frameworksAdvanced negotiation skills and procurement principlesDeep understanding of Public Sector Procurement Regulations and Contract LawExperience with corporate regulations and effective contract creationFamiliarity with product development timelines and constraintsStrategic sourcing experience at regional or global levelWHAT WE OFFERAs you’d expect from a global healthcare company, we offer a fantastic range of benefits including competitive salaries, a superb defined contribution pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and a flexible benefits scheme.Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
