Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to overcome challenges and succeed in their learning journey?GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Hathersage. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them access the curriculum and overcome learning barriers.Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Deliver targeted one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering accessible and engaging lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing.
  • Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Adapt learning resources to ensure full participation and inclusion.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility in your approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
