
Actuarial Manager

- Provide support to different Leads of the Division at the direction of the Senior Manager of Actuarial Product Support on large Divisional projects or cross-business projects as Subject Matter Expert. Example projects may include launch of a new product, annual reviews of manufactured products or regulatory change impacting our products.
- Lead on small and medium-sized Divisional projects as Subject Matter Expert. Example projects may include implementation of enhancements to our investment proposition to Illustrations and tools.
- Provide oversight and carry out checking of the work of Actuarial Specialists and Actuarial Analysts.
- Ensure accuracy of illustrations, terms and conditions and product documentation.
- Provide product technical and actuarial support to the SJP Group, including the Partnership, on areas such as Capital Gains Tax calculations, Critical Yield Calculations, product functionality, illustrations and other calculations.
- Liaise and maintain relationships with teams across the business and with a range of third-party providers.
- Provide figures and analysis to support business decisions.
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with financial services and/or commercial experience (not strictly UK experience, consider other regions).
- Experience leading a a team and a strong interest to coach, mentor, and support others.
- Proven track-record leading small and medium-sized divisional projects with the ability to support larger cross-business projects as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Expert in providing product technical and actuarial support, such as financial projections, modelling, and other actuarial calculations.
- Solid understanding of the financial services business environment is required to make recommendations to the Senior Manager of Actuarial Product Support and Leads in the team with confidence.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical content to a variety of audiences with a range of needs and levels of expertise.
