Salary £31,000Working Hours: Day Shifts offering flexibility Monday to FridayWe're looking for a hands-on Process Engineer - Press Operations to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role ensures compliance with DMUK and EU standards while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development.Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and Setting Up Presses: This includes loading raw materials, setting up tools and dies, and adjusting machine settings to achieve desired results.
- Checking Product Quality: Inspecting finished products for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and performing basic maintenance on the machinery.
- Following Production Plans: Adhering to production schedules and instructions to meet targets.
- Documentation: Maintaining performance logbooks and documenting any issues or changes.
- Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Working with Others: Liaising with team leaders, engineers, and other operators to ensure smooth operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of press machinery, tooling, and materials.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to machine operation or product quality.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring that products meet quality standards.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Basic Math Skills: For calculations related to production and material usage.
- Press Regulations trained
- Experience in press setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
