Contract: Temporary with both part-time and full-time optionsA well-established nursery in Atherton is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Room Leader to join their early years team. This position is ideal for practitioners who are ready to take on additional responsibility and contribute to a high-quality, child-focused learning environment.About the RoleAs Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a designated nursery room, ensuring children are provided with engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences in line with the EYFS. You will support colleagues through guidance, modelling best practice, and ensuring the smooth delivery of daily routines.Candidate RequirementsWe are looking for someone who can combine strong leadership with a genuine passion for early childhood education. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one.
- A recognised Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education.
- Current knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- A track record of working effectively with children aged 0–5.
- Previous supervisory or room leader experience (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
- Lead and oversee the planning and delivery of learning opportunities tailored to children’s individual needs.
- Monitor and record children’s progress through observations and assessments.
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment.
- Ensure that policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety are consistently upheld.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
