- Up to 6 months, with potential for extension
- Ensure expenditure is eligible, accurate, and in alignment with project budgets.
- Complete verification forms and reports, highlighting non-compliance or irregularities for management action.
- Verify that projects comply with grant applications, contract conditions, and funding agreements.
- Tailor verification work to the size and nature of projects, addressing any irregularities.
- Report financial irregularities to relevant authorities, with recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the review of funding schemes, policies, and procedures, managing changing priorities.
- Safeguard the storage of financial records and assist auditors in their work.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (Grade C or above), including Maths and English.
- At least 2 years' experience in one of the following:
- Verification or audit of expenditure OR
- Financial accounting OR
- Payroll processing
- A minimum of 2 years' experience reviewing financial processes and/or controls.
- Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders to achieve a positive outcome.
- Proficiency in working with MS Office packages, particularly MS Excel.
