Wen are seeking a substantive Consultant to support the Department of Ear Nose and Throat in East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will lead on specific duties as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the speciality.   • MB BS or equivalent
  • Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons
  • Full Registration with GMC with a licence to practice, on Specialist Register on date of taking up appointment or to have obtained CCT in ENT within 6 months of interview
Desirable
  • MD or equivalent
  • BSE accreditation
Training and experienceEssential
  • Wide experience in all aspects of Ear Nose and Throat
Desirable
  • Experience in other medical specialties
  • Sub-specialist experience in ENT
Administration & ManagementEssential
  • Evidence of participation in staff management
  • Understanding of recent initiatives and changes, including Clinical Governance and Appraisal
Desirable
  • Management course and/or qualifications
  • Knowledge of the structure of Health Service
Audit, Research and PublicationsEssential
  • Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit
  • Understanding of the role of research

  • Completion and/or Publication of audit projects
