We place our teaching staff in day-to-day and long-term placements in an extensive number of Primary and Secondary schools across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.Supply Desk is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in primary schools across Lewes. This role offers flexibility, with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs.Key Responsibilities:
  • ‍ Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN, adapting to their unique learning needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and development of every student.
  • Manage challenging behaviour, using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Adapt to different school environments and work collaboratively with staff.
Requirements:
  • ✔️ Experience working with children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties) is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • ️ Current DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
