We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEMH school just outside Lewes , East Sussex.This is a multi-site role offering variety, challenge, and the chance to work closely with small groups of pupils in a highly supportive and therapeutic environment.🧩 About the RoleAs our HLTA, you will:
  • Support and lead learning activities across multiple sites.
  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to meet individual needs.
  • Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
🎓 What We’re Looking For
  • HLTA status or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with SEMH pupils or in specialist settings.
  • A driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location and multi-site nature).
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
