Pay Rate: £93 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-dayAre you a proactive and organised individual who enjoys supporting young learners and helping maintain a smooth and effective learning environment?GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Thurnscoe. The successful candidate will oversee classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported in their learning.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, following provided lesson plans.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
  • Support students’ engagement, behaviour, and well-being.
  • Assist in managing classroom resources and activities.
  • Report on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Experience working in schools or supporting young people in a learning environment.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain classroom discipline.
  • Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
